Pure nature and elegance
The special feature of the Tibey Collection is the applied Loop & Cut knotting technique. The two natural fibers, silk and wool, are linked together evenly, but processed individually.
While the silk line is cut and the material is cut open, the wool line remains closed (loop). This approach gives the carpets, among other things, their elegant pile, which transforms any floor into an inviting surface with its subtle shine and soft surface structure.
Although they are not pure silk carpets , they have a corresponding feel thanks to their elaborate workmanship. To achieve the Tibey TB18's decorative pattern, dark brown rows of solid-colored wool are overlaid by multicolored rows of silk.
The deliberately incorporated height differences create dynamic impressions, depending on the viewer's perspective. The combination of fine lines and subtle colors creates a friendly design that appears creative without bringing turmoil into the room.
Like all carpets from the Tibey Collection, the TB18 also has an elegant vintage charm, which enriches any interior with a cozy but at the same time tasteful ambience.
The feeling of running, acoustics and room climate benefit
In addition to the selected materials, the elaborate Tibetan knot promotes the long-lasting quality of the carpet. Around 160,000 knots per square meter are tied by hand over several months and ensure maximum robustness and an incomparable running feeling. The latter is also positively influenced by the weight at around 3.5 kg per square meter. Heavy carpets reduce the risk of slipping and provide security when entering.
The comfort of the living room, office, etc. benefits from other positive effects: While the sound-absorbing surface of the carpet optimizes the acoustics, the natural materials promote a healthy indoor climate with their moisture-regulating properties.
