Endless starry sky
Circlism C07
Our featured inspiration here is a modern artwork for the floor from the Circlism Collection. The collection is the unique realization of a long-standing idea by managing director and artist Dani Misio.
Inspired by his own paintings, he created the unique carpets of this exclusive collection. Model C07 is reminiscent of an endless starry night sky, revealing its countless details only upon closer inspection.
Linked with great effort
Circlism C07 consists of approximately 2,500 circles, each creating its own unique symmetries and arrangements. It uses various shades of gray, blue, yellow, and beige – a total of ten different colors – whose composition ensures harmonious color gradients.
The Weaving of a Circlism rug at Mischioff is done entirely by hand, with the creation of circles being one of the greatest challenges in rug making. Since each circle is a work of art in itself, this work requires enormous care and precision.
The production of these carpets, with approximately 160,000 knots (Tibetan knot) per square meter, relies entirely on the skilled craftsmanship of the most accomplished weavers at the Mischioff Manufactory in Nepal . It takes around four months to complete a modern masterpiece from high-quality wool and exclusive silk, suitable for almost any living space.
Decorative color schemes for a modern living environment
The Circlism Collection was first presented to a broad (professional) audience at DOMOTEX and IMM 2016. It comprises various elaborately crafted carpets with different design and color variations, available in the standard size of 300 x 230 centimeters, but also available in your personal and individual desired dimensions.
With their pile height of approximately ten millimeters and highly decorative color combinations, these designer rugs not only ideal for modern interiors, but also a real eye-catcher in many other interior design styles. All rugs in the extraordinary Circlism Collection are based on original paintings by designer Dani Misio. The model C07 presented here is made of 100 percent high-quality virgin wool from the Himalayan highlands. The wool rug also be ordered with a silk blend – the rhythmic interplay of circles is further enhanced by the wool and silk mix.
