Nilanda NI34
Having just been presented to the public a few days ago at the international interior design exhibition "neue räume" in Zurich, we are now introducing our new Nilanda carpet NI34. The new design was met with enthusiastic approval from lovers of abstract and modern design.
The carpet pattern, freed from any graphic order, nevertheless became a complete work of art thanks to its harmonious color scheme, it was said. We were particularly taken with the description of a well-traveled lady who compared our carpet to a magical walk in the desert. We found the image so beautiful that we would like to describe it here in our own words.
Completely detached – The Nilanda NI34
"I have traveled to many countries and cities, but nothing has fascinated and moved me as much as the desert. Endless expanses that at first glance reveal nothing but desolation and barrenness. Only upon closer inspection does the magic become tangible. A play of colors and shapes, all seemingly dancing completely detached from one another, yet all part of a grand order.".
Rugged rocks that dissolve into gentle slopes, bushes and shrubs bearing the marks of the heat, their branches laboriously stretching towards the shimmering waterhole. Nowhere else in the world have I discovered the traces of life, including my own, as clearly as during my walks through the desert. The desert is pure magic. Its carpet reminds me so much of the enchantment of this landscape
Artists in triggering emotions
The Nilanda NI34 is a true artist at evoking emotions, so captivating is it that it allows the viewer to discover something entirely unique. Many components must come together perfectly to create a work of art with comparable impact: the creative power of our designer Dani Misio, the artistry of our carpet weavers in Nepal, and, of course, the highest quality material.
Our Nilanda NI34 is crafted from approximately 75 percent of the highest quality Chinese silk and 25 percent Himalayan highland wool. The light beige areas of the rug are made from the highland wool, creating striking accents in the design. Visually and to the touch, these areas differ from the silky rest, giving the designer rug a truly unique character.
Fair cooperation for sustainable products
The carpet's elegance and softness come from its high silk content. It is uniquely pleasing to the touch and irresistibly lustrous. With a knot density of 160,000 knots per square meter, the Nilanda NI34 boasts exceptional durability. You can confidently take many walks on the Nilanda NI34 without worrying about signs of wear. Even after years of use, this silk carpet caress you as much as on the first day.
All Mischioff carpets, including the Nilanda NI34, are produced in a certified Manufactory in Nepal. Certification means that fair working conditions for the employees and sustainable practices are prioritized. We believe in a harmonious relationship between people and nature and are convinced that every piece of art reflects the emotions with which it was created.
