Famous design classics reinterpreted

The Marouk Collection captures the essence of nomadic Berber carpets with its motifs and gives them a fresh, modern appearance. The ongoing fascination and demand for Berber carpets is deeply rooted in their long history.

Renowned designers and architects such as Le Corbusier, Alvar Aalto and Charles and Ray Eames recognized the magic of traditional motifs and used them to design rooms in a very special, individual way. They masterfully understood how to integrate the timeless beauty of these carpets into modern spaces.

Compared to other Mischioff collections, Marouk carpets are a little more coarsely woven. This feature allows for faster production and allows these rugs to be offered at a more attractive price without compromising on quality or design.

The quality of the Marouk carpets is excellent despite the coarser weave, thanks to the use of exquisite materials and careful processing by hand. We realize custom-made products within a very short time at an excellent price-performance ratio.

Asymmetrical diamonds and flowing transitions

In the world of traditional Berber motifs, diamonds and triangles play a key role. These geometric shapes decorate a variety of classic designs and develop their full effect on mostly light backgrounds. The characteristic, high-contrast arrangements of these motifs are typical of Berber artworks and allow the imagination to immerse themselves in the world of this fascinating people.

With the Marouk Collection, designers Dani and Sascha Misio have managed to translate the traditional craftsmanship and rich symbolism of the Berbers into a contemporary language that appeals to lovers of quality and modern design alike.

The Marouk Collection is characterized by its variety of asymmetrically arranged diamonds in a wide variety of variations. Friendly models with a light base color are equally represented, as are expressive alternatives with dark nuances.

A selection of carpets without geometric motifs skilfully round off the collection. Natural color gradients, so-called “abrashes”, always ensure a decorative and individual look.

High-quality Berber carpets for stylish interiors

Every step in production, from spinning, dyeing and weaving to finishing, is carried out by hand by experienced weavers. Only pure highland wool from the Himalayas is used. The new wool from the highland sheep not only gives the carpet structures remarkable stability, but also a soft and pleasant feel. Every touch with the pile becomes an experience for the senses.

This natural fiber not only impresses with its longevity and robustness. Thanks to their high wool wax content, which makes the hand-knotted carpets dirt-repellent, they are particularly resistant to stains. This feature makes the Marouk wool carpets ideal for areas that receive more intensive use, such as offices, entrance halls or dining rooms. Here they combine practical functionality with aesthetic beauty, making them a perfect choice for any room.

High-quality natural material with the best properties

Modern carpets made from highland wool add an atmosphere of warmth and coziness to any interior. Compared to synthetic fibers, they stay clean for significantly longer, which makes them particularly easy to care for and durable. The breathable and moisture-regulating properties of the wool, as well as the natural odor inhibition, contribute significantly to a pleasant indoor climate. In addition, these carpets improve room acoustics, provide additional security and have sound-absorbing properties.

Around 93,000 Tibetan knots per square meter result in the dense and soft pile of Marouk carpets. The surface has a good grip and the high weight of over four kilograms per square meter ensures sure-footedness.

Mischioff attaches great importance to social responsibility - this is also shown by the long-standing partnership with the fair trade label STEP. Good working conditions, fair wages and sustainable production methods form the foundation of all Mischioff collections.
