With her special feel for materials, trends and colors, Mischioff constantly develops new collections and extraordinary designs that revolutionize the international carpet market.
All Mischioff carpets are produced under fair trade conditions and are made from exclusive natural materials. Whether a wool carpet made from high-quality Himalayan highland wool or a silk carpet made from exclusive Chinese silk - only the best materials are processed into a special designer piece.
The materials used are dyed exclusively with environmentally friendly dyes, washed by hand and dried in the sun - so customers can be sure that they are integrating a 100% natural product into their living spaces.
The design process – creativity & know-how
The fantastic world of Mischioff carpets arises from the creativity of the two Mischioff managing directors and designers Dani and Sascha Misio, who create all of the carpet designs themselves.
The brothers are inspired by modern art, contemporary design and current fashion trends. They develop exceptional and unique modern carpets and continually work on the further development of the Mischioff carpet collections.
Thanks to their creative ideas, they are considered renowned representatives of the Swiss and international design scene. The experience gained from four generations of carpet production supports and ensures the high-quality implementation of your ideas.

Highland wool from the Himalayan mountains
The high-quality wool for our carpets comes from the Himalayan highlands. This new wool impresses with its special properties: it is incomparably soft and at the same time extremely robust and easy to care for. This is ensured by the high lanolin content of highland wool, which gives the fiber a supple structure and a naturally dirt-repellent character.
The highland wool is carefully carded by hand, spun into knotting yarn and dyed in an environmentally friendly way before it is knotted into a high-quality carpet. Thanks to their robust character, carpets made from high-quality highland wool can also be used very well for heavily frequented areas.
Finest Chinese silk
Silk remains unsurpassed in terms of elegance and feel. The uniquely soft fiber with its irresistible shine always creates an exclusive ambience. For our carpets we use the finest Chinese silk, which offers the best properties in terms of look and feel.
In addition to its fascinating shine, natural silk has a high strength and enables the most brilliant colors. Silk is a very tear-resistant and durable fiber and is therefore ideal for making highly elegant carpets.
Lyocell cellulose fiber is on the rise
Lyocell is a very sustainable cellulose fiber that has fantastic properties for carpet production. The cellulose fibers for Lyocell are obtained from wood from sustainable forestry. The manufacturer is the Austrian company Lenzig, which offers its Lyocell under the brand name Tencel™ and received the European Environmental Prize in 2020 for the development of this sustainable fiber.
Lyocell is silky soft and pleasantly gentle on the skin. The look and feel is similar to a pure silk carpet. The special properties of this extraordinary fiber have also led us to use Lyocell in our own collections, for example in our Shaggy Plain Collection or as an optional silk substitute in the Mischioff Design collections.

For good reason: natural materials not only have better properties than synthetic fibers, but are also irreplaceable in terms of sustainability.
