With her special feel for materials, trends and colors, Mischioff is constantly developing new collections and extraordinary designs that are revolutionizing the international carpet market.
All Mischioff carpets are produced under fair trade conditions and made from exclusive natural materials. Whether a wool carpet made from high-quality Himalayan highland wool or a silk carpet made from exclusive Chinese silk – only first-class materials are used to create these special designer pieces.
The materials used are dyed exclusively with environmentally friendly dyes, hand-washed, and sun-dried. This ensures customers are integrating an exclusive natural product into their living spaces.
The design process – creativity & know-how
The fantastic world of Mischioff carpets springs from the creativity of the two Mischioff managing directors and designers Dani and Sascha Misio, who design all carpet designs themselves.
The brothers draw inspiration from modern art, contemporary design, and current fashion trends. With great passion, they develop exceptional and unique modern carpets and continuously work on the further development of the Mischioff carpet collections.
Thanks to their creative ideas, they are considered renowned representatives of the Swiss and international design scene. The experience gained from four generations of carpet production supports and guarantees the high-quality realization of their ideas.

Highland wool from the Himalayas
The high-quality wool for our carpets comes from the Himalayan highlands. This virgin wool impresses with its special properties: it is incomparably soft yet extremely robust and easy to care for. This is due to the high lanolin content of the highland wool, which gives the fiber a supple structure and a naturally dirt-repellent character.
The highland wool is gently carded by hand, spun into yarn, and dyed using environmentally friendly methods before being knotted into a high-quality rug. Thanks to its robust nature, rugs made from premium highland wool are also ideal for high-traffic areas.
Fine Chinese silk
Silk remains unsurpassed in elegance and feel. The uniquely soft fiber, with its irresistible sheen, always creates an exclusive ambiance. For our carpets, we use fine Chinese silk, which offers outstanding qualities in both appearance and texture.
Besides its captivating sheen, natural silk boasts high strength and allows for the most brilliant colors. Silk is a very tear-resistant and durable fiber, making it ideal for crafting highly elegant carpets.
Lyocell, a cellulose fiber, is on the rise
Lyocell is a highly sustainable cellulose fiber with fantastic properties for carpet manufacturing. The cellulose fibers for lyocell are derived from wood sourced from sustainably managed forests. It is manufactured by the Austrian company Lenzig, which markets its lyocell under the brand name Tencel™ and received the European Environmental Award in 2020 for developing this sustainable fiber.
Lyocell is silky soft and pleasantly gentle on the skin. Its look and feel are similar to a pure silk carpet. The special properties of this exceptional fiber have also led us to use lyocell in our own collections, for example in our Shaggy Plain Collection or as an optional silk alternative in the Mischioff Design collections.

And for good reason: natural materials not only have superior properties compared to synthetic fibers, but they are also irreplaceable in terms of sustainability.
