Marouk Plain 1D02: One color, pure joy of life
Although monochrome carpets are in great demand due to their timeless elegance and flexibility, the desire for variety is equally great. Marouk Plain plain collection meets the high requirements for plain-colored design objects with a characteristic look.
In order to achieve an interesting overall impression, the colors are not incorporated monochrome, but are given numerous nuances within the color using a special dyeing technique. The gentle shades create an exciting alternation of lighter and darker gradations. The color gradients really bring carpets to life.

100% wool and solid handwork
Mischioff only uses natural fibers to make carpets. The Marouk Plain Collection uses pure virgin wool from the Himalayas. The high-quality natural fiber is extremely robust, which becomes noticeable later on the plain carpets. They are durable and can withstand the rigors of busy spaces.
Wool also has a positive effect on room acoustics and the room climate. Wool carpets absorb sound and promote a pleasant background noise. The room air benefits from its moisture-regulating and odor-inhibiting properties. The natural material is dirt-repellent, which is thanks to the high wool wax content. Not to forget the feel: the Marouk Plain carpets impress with their soft pile, every touch is a relief.
Made entirely by hand
All work steps, from spinning the fibers to dyeing to knotting and finishing, are done by hand. Experienced weavers use the Tibetan knot. This complex knotting technique ensures stable carpet structures and robustness.
As with the Marouk Collection , which sets cultural accents with traditional Berber carpet motifs , Marouk Plain models have around 93,000 knots per square meter. With this number of knots, the knotting density is lower compared to the Thaila Plain Collection , and production is therefore less time-consuming. Thanks to the rustic weaving, plain-colored Marouk versions can be produced more quickly and offered more cheaply. We can also deliver custom-made products in a very short time.
