Berber carpets are very popular among connoisseurs. The renowned architects and designers Alvar Aalto, Le Corbusier and Ray and Charles Eames already appreciated the traditional motifs and monochrome variants for furnishing private rooms.

The Marouk MK40 delights design lovers with the asymmetrical pattern typical Berber carpets Large, uneven diamonds in black appear on a light base pile made of undyed natural wool.

Since neither the edges nor the structure are completely colored and straight, but rather uneven and slightly speckled, the transitions appear calm and soft. These natural color gradients, also called “abrashes”, give the carpet its charming look with soft shades and contrasts.

100% Himalayan highland wool for maximum durability

In order to ensure a very fair price-performance ratio and shorter delivery times, the products from the Marouk Collection are woven a little coarser than other Mischioff carpet lines. Even custom-made products can be realized quickly. Lovers of dense pile, which is achieved wool carpet

The pile height of between around ten and twelve millimeters is also worth highlighting, as it makes the surface pleasant to the touch. The Marouk MK40 weighs around four kilograms per square meter - this makes anti-slip pads unnecessary on most surfaces, which also contributes to its suitability for everyday use.

A fair trade product from Nepal

The first-class highland wool is hand-spun by experienced weavers in a Manufactory in Nepal and knotted exactly according to Mischioff's design templates. The experienced skilled workers are paid fairly and respectful treatment of the employees on site is a matter of course for us. Mischioff managing director Dani Misio regularly visits the production facilities and maintains family relationships with the weavers.
