An entire universe in a carpet

Circlism C05

For millennia, the circle has fascinated people. Across all cultures, through ages and regions, it revolves in its endless circles and has become a symbol of infinity, of perfection, and of humanity's recurring questions.

No science, no art movement, no religion has ever been able to fully unravel the mystery surrounding this geometric form. Mathematics teaches us how to calculate a circle, religion venerates it as a sacred symbol, but art, with every circle, grants us a glimpse into a new universe.

A night sky made of wool and silk

Our managing director, Dani Misio, not only designs our carpets, he is also a painter. His paintings often serve as inspiration for further carpet designs, as is the case with our Circlism Collection .

What once shone on the canvas becomes a work of art for the floor. In our Circlism C05, the inspiration presented here, it is a cosmos of thousands of circles made of wool and silk, resembling a glimpse into the endless starry sky.

Calm shades of blue and purple form the backdrop against which the small, multicolored circles rotate. Their hues shift from a berry red to a warm yellow-orange, sometimes becoming almost pink, almost white, a touch of green, and frequently reverting to shades of blue and purple, making them seem to blend seamlessly into the background.

Evenly spaced across the carpet, the design could be mentally traced to infinity. The color composition of the designer carpet creates a sense of vibrancy, the movement of a starry sky where stars twinkle, the Milky Way drifts by, and dreams are born.

No carpet for one night

Our Circlism C05 night sky rug is made predominantly (80 percent) of the finest Himalayan highland wool. Easy to care for, robust, and durable, it offers the best conditions for all situations and every level of use. Fine Chinese silk is used here and there for special color accents, transforming some stars into comets and others into shooting stars. The exceptionally soft pile also makes our Circlism C05 a pleasing tactile experience. Walking barefoot through the universe has never been more pleasant.

It takes more than four months to create Nepalese rug like the Circlism C05 in our Manufactory Weaving weaving more than 2,500 circles.
