Following this, can we lie down on the same carpet twice? No, according to Heraclitus, we cannot do that because everything is constantly changing.

Now Heraclitus was not a carpet philosopher and we won't call him one, but his worldview is still very relevant today, or especially today. The ancient tradition of carpet weaving seems to contradict the constant process of growth and decay somewhat, as it counteracts today's fast pace by clinging to old traditions, but change is also noticeable in carpet craft.
The Mischioff company was founded in Switzerland in the 1940s. The small carpet retailer a well-known importer of classic oriental carpets . The two sons and current managing directors, Dani and Sascha Misio, brought their first carpet collection onto the market in the 90s and became pioneers of modern carpet development with their completely new designs and subtle colors. With their reinterpretation of antique designs, completely new themed worlds emerged.
Achieving the highest levels of quality has always been the focus and the Sichouk Collection with its pure silk carpets is an example of this. The latest carpet in this collection, the Sichouk SI50 presented here, follows the tradition of previous work and is at the same time an expression of constant development and change.
A masterpiece of modern carpet making
As a pure silk carpet with a pile height of approx. eight to nine millimeters, it is a carpet that plays with the light, every breeze and at the same time with the viewer. The earthy colors give the Sichouk SI50 the character of a robust companion, the silky shimmer makes it a gentleman among carpets and the light and cheerful design gives it youthful charm. Whatever you want to see in this rug, it's all there.
The Sichouk SI50 is a masterpiece of modern carpet making, and also a master of versatility. Depending on which room it embellishes, its effect is always adapted to the things surrounding it. The craft of carpet weaving is an ancient one and in fact it is still carried out today as it was many hundreds of years ago. But the general conditions have changed many times. Thanks to this collaboration, the working and living conditions of the weavers are not only fair, but also constantly improved.
The standards set by the International Labor Organization (ILO) form the basis of STEP's work. It contains criteria for workplace design, fair pay, funding for training, ecological production processes and, of course, the exclusion of any child labor. In this way, Mischioff also becomes a part of the change that people have the power to shape themselves - towards a better world.
