Our current inspiration is the Tibey CX2214-X711. This striking designer rug comes from the Tibey Collection and impresses above all with its unique combination of high-quality silk and exclusive Himalayan highland wool.
The more than ten different, modern colors create a harmonious overall look with soft color transitions. Black loops form the basis for the striking contrasts of the design and subtly break it up. The overall appearance of the rug subconsciously evokes a coral reef – hence its name, after the lost city of Atlantis.
Modern designer rug with innovative loop & cut knotting technique
The Tibey CX2214-X711 is crafted using a very special knotting technique. It is knotted alternately in wool and silk, with only the silk line being cut. Because the wool line remains intact, it lies slightly lower in the background, subtly breaking up the design of the rug.
Thanks to its slightly broken, exciting loop & cut structure, the carpet is not only visually but also haptically a real highlight, almost like a pure silk carpet .
This unique design is based on abstract patterns, which, through their reflection, create a pleasing symmetry for the viewer. Expressive colors skillfully complete the distinctive look of this modern designer rug .

This carpet, made from 70 percent Himalayan highland wool and 30 percent silk with almost 160,000 knots per square meter in the standard size of 300 x 230 centimeters, transforms any room into something special.
