How closely form and material belong together can be seen wonderfully in this unique silk carpet . There is no other material with which the viewer can enter into such a visual and tactile relationship.
The shiny, shimmering pile of the silk changes its appearance depending on the light, and the delicate surface creates a soothing caressing effect on the skin when touched. This unique material effect in combination with the play of colors and shapes makes the Sichouk SI45 a carpet that is able to constantly change its expression.
It seems simple and clear, the design of the Sichouk SI45. But the six colors and the repeating geometric shapes are arranged so artfully that they create an extraordinary sculptural effect.
The color contrasts create a shadow effect, with the shortening and never the same lines underlining this effect and together a 3D effect is created that makes a rugged landscape with rock formations appear before the viewer's eyes.
