Stiff breeze
Mamlin MA01
Just in time for the summer season, we would like to draw attention to an elegant home accessory from our Mamlin collection, whose design takes up characteristic elements of the season.
The harmonious mix of warm earth tones and cool blue is reminiscent of the sea, sandy beaches and the refreshing sea breeze. Thanks to artistic color gradients and a timeless look, our inspiration presented here, the Mamlin MA01, comes into its own all year round. Find out here why it's worth taking a look at materials and workmanship.
Attractive pattern inspired by oil paintings
The Mamlin Collection impresses with artistic color gradients and delicate lines. The idea for the design came from Dani Misio, artist and chief designer at Mischioff.
He created impressive oil paintings on canvas with colorful stripes and exhibited them in an art gallery in Zurich. Years later, Misio developed artistic designer carpets for various interior design styles and brought them together in the Mamlin Collection . Including the Mamlin MA01 with ten carefully selected colors.
Blue and brown set the tone and flow into each other in soft transitions. Black wool loops add welcome contrast to the design without distracting from the dominant colors. The result is an exciting overall impression that impresses with an aesthetic combination of warm and cool nuances.
The Mamlin MA01 can be integrated into maritime living spaces as well as combined with minimalist interiors. Whether it's a graceful property with a beach location, a representative office with leather furnishings or a luxurious hotel lobby: our Mamlin MA01 enriches every property with its elegant lines and interesting color combination.
Best natural material and precise handwork
To produce the Mamlin MA01, we use 50 percent high-quality Himalayan highland wool and fine silk. While silk gives a carpet its popular shine, highland wool transforms it into an extremely robust, easy-care and moisture-regulating home accessory. The fibers also have high restoring power and good thermal insulation. The room climate and acoustics benefit from this.
Production presents challenges due to the multifaceted appearance. The weaving implementation is complex and requires maximum care. Without skilled craftsmanship, the realization of the templates would be impossible. The experienced weavers at the Mischioff carpet Manufactory designer carpet for around three to four months . Four weeks alone are invested in the finishing.
Elegant design carpet with a soft feel
The natural materials are hand-knotted and carefully processed. The innovative Loop & Cut knotting technique is used to achieve desired height differences. The closed row of wool knots is lower to highlight the silk pile. The elevated placement of the silk gives the impression, thanks to its silky sheen, that the Mamlin MA01 is a pure silk carpet .
The same applies to the feel: the carpet feels wonderfully soft and conveys a feeling of exclusivity when walked on and touched. Around 160,000 knots per square meter ensure dimensional stability and longevity. The pile height of around seven to nine millimeters promotes a positive walking feeling.
