Flowing colors at Swiss Re Next in Zurich

On a 50 by 70 meter plot in the center of the company grounds, new spaces have been created for the approximately 1,100 employees, designed to foster creativity. Three underground and six above-ground floors offer smart solutions for networking, working, and experiencing. The underground levels, which connect several buildings, include the underground parking garage and an auditorium with a capacity of 240 people.

The east side boasts a breathtaking view of a lake. Throughout the building, including the ground floor, the element of water was incorporated into the interior design, particularly in the choice of carpets. Mischioff AG furnished the conference rooms and the work lounge with its coffee bar with highly individual designer pieces.

With a play of colors in waves, the Mischioff carpets highlight the architectural features of the commercial building.

The carpets used create spatial boundaries within a large, open area, and their patterns reflect the beauty of the raw, waterside natural surroundings. Separated from this open space are only a few individual offices and meeting rooms. Large windows ensure ideal natural light, which refracts here and there, further enhancing the calming patterns of the selected Mischioff carpets. A harmonious blend that invites brainstorming.
