Activating one's own creative power and transforming an idea into something tangible always has a touch of magic. Magic that can be felt. The result of such a process can be admired at the Kempinski Hotel Engelberg. In close collaboration between Mischioff AG and the Kempinski Palace Engelberg, unique, highly individual carpets designed by the client have been created, complementing the approximately 129 rooms and suites of the impressive hotel.

Preserving tradition through carpet art

The distinctive carpet designs and exceptional quality of the carpet craftsmanship also contribute to the charm of the Cigar Lounge, the Palace Hotel Bar, the lobby, and the Meeting & Events Foyer. With its high-quality furnishings, the Kempinski Hotel Engelberg underscores the charm of the building, which dates back to 1904. At that time, the Hotel Europäischer Hof in the heart of Engelberg bordered the historic Kursaal, right next to the spa gardens. This unique location inspired the investor, Han's Europe AG, to build a new luxury hotel.

Carpets that match the architecture

Among the new features that transform the expanded hotel complex into a haven of well-being are the individually designed carpets in the high-quality junior suites and the suites in the 5-star area. Spanning 4,305 square meters and encompassing banquet and seminar rooms, a wellness area, and first-class dining, the carpets blend seamlessly with the hotel's historical and architectural style.

The extensive renovation and new construction was carried out by Eberli AG, based on plans by the architectural firms Masswerk Architekten AG, Graber Pulver Architekten AG, Hilmer Sattler Architekten Ahlers Albrecht, Arge Architekturbüro Iwan Bühler GmbH, and Sigrist Schweizer Architekten AG.
