Redesign of lobby and fireplace room

A crackling fireplace, warm cocoa, children's laughter, and tiny hands and feet leaving their delicate marks on the carpet in front of the flames – sounds like a perfect family day by the fire? Exactly. Extravagant and child-friendly – ​​these go hand in hand at Hotel Saratz. With its high-quality amenities and relaxed atmosphere, Hotel Saratz is nestled against a stunning natural backdrop. Anyone who stays here can't help but feel at ease. To ensure this feeling lasts, the owners place great importance on keeping up with the times, continually elevating the hotel's ambiance to the next level.

For the redesign of the lobby and lounge, the architect and client partnered with Mischioff AG. A carpet concept was developed to perfectly complement the green-blue stone floor and the sand-colored upholstery, tailored specifically to the Hotel Saratz project.

The merging of both concepts (furniture and carpet art) was implemented by the joint venture Atelier Chiavi and Ruch & Partner Architekten AG.

The Engadine region offers a unique backdrop for a variety of events. In addition to seminars and business events, the Hotel Saratz also provides a dreamlike setting for weddings and other family celebrations. The interplay of light around the hotel contributes significantly to the special atmosphere. This ambiance is also felt in the lobby and lounge, which are now furnished with unique pieces from the Mischioff Manufactory . Sustainably and ethically produced, these one-of-a-kind carpets are true works of art, born from the creative vision of the two managing directors and designers, Dani and Sascha Misio. They not only feel wonderful underfoot but can also be enjoyed with a clear conscience.
