On these looms there are two thread systems, the warp and the weft thread , which are woven together at right angles. The pre-tensioned warp threads form the support into which the weavers pull the weft threads from one selvedge to the other and intertwine them. This creates a firm and non-slip pile that is very robust and resistant, but at the same time very flexible.
