The Rug Of The Month July 2017 – The Abramia AB04
For July, we decided to introduce you the Abramia AB04 as our new rug of the month. The design of this high-quality rug plays with the typically asymmetrical motifs of a classic Berber carpet. The Abramia AB04 has a discreet but fascinating look with its beige base colour with motifs in fresh blue and green tones. This beautiful, modern colour combination can be optimally combined with various facilities - whether modern, classic or in a country-house style.
Perfect Blend Of Wool And Silk
In addition to the classic, long-pile berber, the rather short-pile designer rugs in Berber style with decorative patterns in modern colours are also very trendy. Thanks to the short pile, the Abramia AB04 is very easy to maintain, does not shed and is a good choice also for heavily frequented areas and running ways.
The beige base pile of the rug is blended with 33 % silk, a single knot consists of one thread of silk and two threads of wool. The freshly coloured motifs are made of 100 % pure wool and are minimal higher than the ground pile (0.5 - 1 mm). This provides a light relief structure and additional charm. The high-quality wool-silk-mix is responsible for the very gentle pile of the Abramia rugs and the silk shines gently through the ground pile. This is why the rugs have a very elegant and noble look.
The Abramia rugs are available from stock in the standard size of 300 x 230 cm, but the design AB04 and all other designs of the Abramia Collection are also orderable in individual custom size - the production of individual orders will take about four months. If desired, the colours and the silk proportion can be customized as well.

Fascinating Rugs In Berber Design – Fairly Produced and Traded
The rugs of the Abramia Collection are knotted in Tibetan knotting technique in Nepal with approx. 160.000 knots and a weight of four kilograms per square meter. The pile height is about 10 millimeters, all Abramia rugs are made in pure handicraft. The careful processing of the wool and silk in a Mischioff manufactory in Nepal is also a guarantee for a high-quality, long-lasting quality product.
As all Mischioff rugs, the Abramia AB04 is produced in compliance with the conditions of the Fair Trade Label STEP - this independent organization controls and certifies the production sites of the carpet weavers and campaigns for good working conditions of the weavers, an environmentally friendly production as well as fair wages.
