Thurgau Cantonal Bank creates new connections

Carpets with delicate color gradients from Mischioff AG bring new coziness to Romanshorn

Digitalization is also advancing in the banking sector. One of the advantages for branches: the separation of bank employees/teller areas and customers by protective barriers has become obsolete. Accordingly, carpets with a gentle color gradient soften this separation and create a connection that invites conversation in a comfortable atmosphere. Goodbye bulletproof glass – hello customer-friendly branch.

This newly created architectural openness, coupled with appropriate discretion, is also reflected in the interior design. Architect Susanne Fritz opted for carpets from the traditional Swiss company Mischioff. The experts in high-quality, hand-knotted carpets impressed with custom-made pieces for the Thurgau Cantonal Bank in Romanshorn.

Samples were first created to showcase the products' unique color gradient for the public customer area. Custom-made pieces were then produced. The blue and purple gradients are showcased to their best advantage in the oval shape.

If a bank wants to achieve anything, it's building trust and connection through personal interaction with its customers. In the newly designed customer area of the Thurgauer Kantonalbank in Romanshorn, the open ambiance and the warm, inviting carpets from the design studio of Dani and Sascha Misio encourage the growth of precisely this trust. The design also incorporates other elements of the interior – round, tapered skylights and large lampshades create a beautiful interplay of light and scale. On the walnut parquet flooring, laid in various directions, the Mischioff masterpieces create distinct zones for added comfort.
