Custom-made carpet art for a unique home

Some rooms deserve something truly special – something that doesn't just complement, but underscores the room's character. We were privileged to achieve precisely that with a rug from our Thaila Collection for an exclusive residential project in Zurich. Designed by the visionary Atelier Jaar and produced through our valued distribution partner Wohnbedarf Frauenfeld, the rug integrates seamlessly into the space – as if it had always been there.

Our hand-knotted gradient rug, with 160,000 knots per square meter, combines fine craftsmanship with exceptional design. However, this project presented us with a particular challenge: two prominent pillars in the living area required a custom-made solution.

The carpet was crafted with the utmost precision in one piece and then cut into two parts in our Manufactory . The cutouts for the columns were made on-site to guarantee a perfect fit. The seams were designed to disappear invisibly beneath the sofa – a seemingly effortless solution that actually required considerable craftsmanship.

The result? A carpet that not only enhances the room but adapts to it, complements it, and completes it. Proof that true quality is not only evident in its appearance but also in its perfect harmony with the architecture.
