It's worth taking a closer look!

The Tibey Collection is known for its captivating color combinations and sometimes mysterious extras. The TB21 is definitely worth a closer look. The color scheme of beige, gray, and silver creates a harmonious overall impression without appearing boring. Instead, numerous nuances of the carefully selected colors provide exciting contrasts.

The arrangement of light and dark facets evokes an extraordinary interplay of light and shadow. The flat pattern makes it seem as if the two elements blend together seamlessly and seemingly at random. However, closer inspection quickly reveals that nothing in this designer rug was left to chance.

The pattern was mirrored in the center, but not exactly; rather, with deliberately incorporated variations. The result is naturally appealing details that invite exploration and simultaneously lend the interior a calming ambiance.

The bright center and the dominant beige tones create a welcoming and successful rug design that integrates seamlessly into a variety of interior styles. Whether a classically furnished townhouse, a minimalist loft, or industrial chic; whether colonial, eccentric, or Mediterranean.

The finest natural materials for outstanding quality

The Tibey TB21 is made from 50% silk and 50% highland wool from the Himalayas, combining the outstanding advantages of these premium natural fibers. Silk is known for its soft sheen, which gives the carpet surface a stylish luster. Furthermore, silk is dimensionally stable, robust, and tear-resistant, making the Tibey TB21 exceptionally durable.

The processed wool from highland sheep is responsible for its resistance to dirt. The high lanolin content acts as a natural protective layer against stains. Furthermore, the wool content improves the indoor climate: wool is breathable, regulates humidity, and inhibits odors. Not to mention its sound absorption, which optimizes the acoustics of rooms.

Careful knotting, experience and fair trade

The look and feel of the Tibey TB21 benefit from the Loop & Cut structure, which is incorporated by hand during carpet production. This Nepalese carpet is hand-knotted by experienced weavers, alternating between silk and wool. While the wool lines (loop) remain closed, the silk lines are cut.

This knotting technique subtly breaks up the design, creating an aesthetically pleasing pile with an appealing sheen. Because the silk knots are raised, the carpet has the visual and tactile impression of a pure silk rug . The surface feels pleasantly soft and guarantees a fabulous walking experience.

Mischioff values the traditional carpet weaving art of Nepalese culture and is committed to fair working conditions. The carpet manufactory is regularly inspected and certified by independent auditors from the Fair Trade label STEP. These strict standards apply to every Fair Trade carpet produced by our company. Sustainability is equally important to Mischioff, and environmentally friendly production methods are a matter of course.
