100% wool and solid handwork

Mischioff uses only natural fibers for its carpet production. The Marouk Plain Collection features pure new wool from the Himalayas. This high-quality natural fiber is exceptionally robust, a fact that becomes apparent in the plain-colored carpets. They are durable and withstand the wear and tear of high-traffic areas.

Furthermore, wool has a positive effect on room acoustics and indoor climate. Wool carpets absorb sound and promote a pleasant atmosphere. The air benefits from its moisture-regulating and odor-inhibiting properties. The natural material is dirt-repellent, thanks to its high lanolin content. And let's not forget the feel: Marouk Plain carpets impress with their soft pile; every touch is a delight.

Made entirely by hand

All stages of production, from spinning the fibers and dyeing to knotting and finishing, are done by hand. Experienced weavers use the Tibetan knot. This elaborate knotting technique ensures stable carpet structures and durability.

Similar to the Marouk Collection , which uses traditional Berber carpet motifs to add cultural flair, Marouk Plain models feature approximately 93,000 knots per square meter. This knot density is lower compared to the Thaila Plain Collection , making production correspondingly less time-consuming. Thanks to the rustic knotting technique, solid-color Marouk carpets can be produced more quickly and offered at a lower price. We can also deliver custom-made carpets in a very short time.

As a long-standing partner of the non-profit organization Label STEP, all Mischioff products are manufactured according to Fair Trade principles.
