Mamlin MA13
The MA13 carpet design from the Mamlin Collection made its debut at imm cologne 2019. Both private and commercial clients were impressed by its appearance, characterized by a harmonious color gradient.
But it wasn't just the product's visual appeal that drew visitors to the Swiss carpet manufactory stand. Its inviting feel also proved convincing, generating numerous inquiries for the exhibitor as an indicator of quality. The blend of silk and highland wool combines a sophisticated sheen with a soft surface texture. Read on to discover why the Mamlin MA13 is worth a closer look in every respect.
Art in textile form – the Mamlin MA13 conveys serenity
When Dani Misio, artist and chief designer at Mischioff, exhibited a series of oil paintings in a Zurich art gallery about ten years ago, he had no idea that the designs would one day become a sought-after carpet collection. It has since become clear that the presentation of his striped paintings in the form of carpet designs is very successful.
The representative of the Mamlin Collection is the MA13 design. It was first presented to the public at imm cologne 2019 and immediately proved to be a visitor magnet.
Typical of Mamlin carpets, the design is composed of a multitude of the finest lines, creating a work of art. With its arrangement of multifaceted brown and beige tones, complemented by gray and silver elements, MA13 skillfully completes the collection.
The use of understated shades creates a subtle contrast to the sometimes vibrant colors also featured in the carpet series. The Mamlin MA13, with its harmonious color scheme, attracts attention and embodies the natural living trend. Warm earth tones flow into cool gray and silver, creating a striped color gradient with soft transitions.
At the center of the designer rug, a light central aisle, framed by dark sides, invites the viewer to walk on it. Its elegant appearance creates a calming overall impression and enriches modern interiors with a sense of comfort.
Natural fibers and handcraftsmanship for the highest quality standards
The combination of silk and Himalayan wool produces exceptional qualities. While silk ensures a shimmering sheen and shape retention, highland wool makes Mamlin carpets resistant to dirt. The high lanolin content acts as a natural protective layer against stains and promotes a pristine appearance. Furthermore, the sound-absorbing and moisture-regulating properties of the wool improve acoustics and the overall room climate.
The meticulous handcraftsmanship contributes equally to the quality. The Nepalese weavers possess valuable knowledge and the necessary experience to achieve precise results based on design templates. Like all Mischioff Nepal carpets, the Mamlin MA13 is also hand-knotted.
Loop & Cut structure creates a modern look
The innovative Loop & Cut knotting technique is used: Rows of silk knots are raised and cut, beautifully showcasing the natural fiber's luster. This creates the tactile impression of a pure silk carpet . Rows of wool knots, on the other hand, remain closed (Loop) and lie in the background. This design is accentuated in an exciting way and further emphasized by black loops.
The positive feedback at the imm cologne international furniture and interiors fair confirms the high potential of the designer rug . Take advantage of its appeal and let your rooms shine with a new brilliance thanks to this exclusive rug. If you are an interior design expert looking for suitable accessories for a particularly demanding project, the Mamlin Collection is also an excellent choice.
